We recommend that you plan to arrive 5 min early, so that our staff can get you checked-in, show you to your private room and make sure you know how to work the Smart TV and sauna controls.

 

Hydration is key.  Most of us don’t drink enough water and it is critically important that when you are using an infrared sauna and sweating a lot, you stay properly hydrated.  We recommend that you drink plenty of water before, during and after your sauna session.  In addition, you will want to remove all makeup to allow your skin to receive the experience and full benefits of the IR heat.

 

What should I wear? We recommend that you wear something comfortable like lightweight shorts and a tee-shirt, swimsuits are better and your “birthday suit” is best.  We highly recommend bringing lounge wear that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.  Complimentary towels will be provided. 

 

Our Infrared Sauna’s are a wellness experience where the results are cumulative. This means the more you come in, the better you will feel.  Just like any diet program, it will take a few sessions before you will see the benefits.

You may notice that it takes 10-20 minutes to break a sweat in your first session. This is because our saunas are heating your body directly, passively raising your core temperature 2-3 degrees, rather than simply heating your skin with hot air. This is a defining difference from a traditional sauna you might have used before. As your body becomes more accustomed to raising your core temperature on a regular basis, your sweat will become more excessive and start sooner into your session.

 

When you finish your sauna session, you will continue to perspire as your body naturally cools down —refresh and revive with the provided ice-cold lavender & rosemary towel.  Your body just flushed out a lot of toxins. You will need to replenish and rehydrate and will find our refrigerator stocked up with alkaline, collagen & coconut water as well as other nutrient dense beverages.

WHY IS INFRARED HEAT BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL SAUNA?

Jacuzzi® infrared saunas use low-EMF True Wave™ Carbon/Ceramic heaters that produce invisible, far infrared heat. This is the same type of heat as produced by the sun and our bodies. Infrared heat is very safe and not at all like the heat produced by microwaves. In an infrared sauna, only 20 percent of the energy is used to heat the air, leaving the rest of the energy to heat the body. The radiant heat can penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body.

 

The temperature inside an infrared sauna is adjustable and averages a comfortable 100°F to 130 °F. These lower temperatures allow you to sweat faster and to tolerate a longer sauna session offering greater therapeutic benefit. Typical sessions last 20 to 45 minutes and can be repeated once or twice during the day to maximize the benefits. Infrared saunas leave you feeling invigorated, not depleted like conventional saunas.

 

Infrared heaters warm the body in the same manner as natural sunlight. Infrared heat therapy uses the wavelength of the visible and non-visible light spectrum of sunlight that heats the body normally. Traditional saunas raise the temperature of the air to a very high level within the chamber to warm the body. Some people have difficulty breathing in this extremely warm air. Infrared saunas work differently. Instead of heating the air within the enclosure, infrared saunas heat the body directly. The result is deeper tissue penetration. In an infrared sauna, the body perspires and receives all of the healthy benefits but avoids the harmful and extremely hot air of a traditional steam sauna.
